Criteria
Graduating Senior who has/was diagnosed with cancer or if has had an influential impact on a child diagnosed with cancer. Must exhibit commitment to the community by volunteering or participating with organizations whose mission is to serve individuals with special needs. The recipient must have first-hand experience over a course of time to relate to the challenges a person battling cancer faces as well as the long-term effects of treatments.
About the Scholarship
DJ Mojica was a fun-loving 9-year-old Fern Bluff Bobcat who had the most courageous spirit. If you had the pleasure of knowing DJ you will remember his sweet voice, witty humor, and love for the Dallas Cowboys. He is greatly missed but we take pride in honoring him and our community with The DJ Mojica Memorial Scholarship. The recipient must be a graduating senior who has/was diagnosed with cancer or has had an influential impact on a child diagnosed with cancer who exhibits a commitment to the community by volunteering with organizations whose mission is to serve individuals with special needs.
