Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation is honored to support the Justin Boen Memorial Scholarship. The Justin Boen Memorial Scholarship has been established to celebrate Justin’s life and his love for Dragon Baseball. A scholarship will be awarded to a graduating RRHS senior varsity baseball player planning to attend any higher education program. Through this scholarship we hope to inspire others to live each day to the fullest with a positive attitude, open heart, and a smile, just as Justin did.

In the game of life, Justin was an extraordinary human being, and in the game of baseball he exemplified the true meaning of a team player. Justin was a friend to all and never hesitated to tell those important in his life how much he loved them. With his contagious smile and kind heart, Justin touched many lives. Besides his love for friends and family, Justin passionately loved the game of baseball. He always played with determination, perseverance, and a commitment for excellence. Justin never hesitated to lend a helping hand to a fellow teammate or express words of encouragement to others. He had great respect for his coaches and teammates. Justin loved ‘Rock Hardball’ and all that it represented both on and off the field. Although Justin will always be truly missed, his legacy lives on in all who love life, show love, and respect to others, and strive to make this world a better place.

Justin Boen passed away on November 3, 2012, of an acute chronic bronchial asthma attack. He attended Deep Wood Elementary, Chisholm Trail Middle School and Round Rock High School graduating in 2008. He was a four-year letterman for the Dragon baseball team. Justin was a semester short of graduating from East Central University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and was looking forward to working with troubled youth.
